Whatcha Thinkin About?

The most amazing part of life on the slopes to me is how little I stress. What do you think about when you're out?

All I can think about now is what I don't think about. When I'm out like I was today, the laundry didn't matter. Work, errands, responsibilities, shopping for wedding gifts, Facebook, nothing mattered. I didn't think about anything other than how good the fresh air felt. How my legs felt remembering to guide me through the powder. How exhilarating it was to be out loving life!

It may seem silly but it's a relief. It's what was missing all summer. Nothing feels as good as skiing. Nothing clears my mind better. Skiing is my happy place!

Don't let me get too sappy on you - but tell me you feel it. Tell me that you like skiing better than everything. Tell me what skiing helps you sort out and forget.

Most importantly - tell me how amazing it feels to be out this early! Definitely a first for me to have 2 ski days in before Thanksgiving. Thankful for that!

I totally agree. Snowboarding for me is better than Yoga to clear my mind. I think my absolute favorite days, besides the obvious bluebird powder days, are when it is snowing and blowing like crazy and most people don´t even want to go outside, you get up on the mountain and go into the trees surrounded by nothing but nature and falling snow and it is so quiet you can´t hear anything. That is the best feeling ever, looking around and thinking that this is exactly what it looked like thousands of years before and you can´t see anyone else! It is the most refreshing, relaxing, rejuvenating experience I have ever felt.
