Park City Delivers Again!

Park City Delivers Again!

As forecasted, Tuesday night's storm delivered another healthy dose of snow on the Wasatch Mountains.  I wanted to stay local today, so I decided to ski Park City Mountain Resort.  The conditions were great as expected and the lift lines, well, they were non-existent.  Get out there and make some turns, as there is still plenty of untracked powder to be found.  Today's video was shot up off the Jupiter and McConkey's lift if you're looking to score tomorrow.

This weekend also looks promising for some more heavy snow!  The only thing is snow levels will be rising and falling all weekend so we may see some rain at lower elevations (see the bottom remarks section for details). With that in mind, if you see some raindrops this weekend and early next week don't be afraid to get out there and ski because it's going to be pounding snow up high.  My advice would be to ski above 8500 feet if you want to ski the best snow and avoid any raindrops that may fall.

Again, that's just my advice as I'm not meteorologist, I just think I am.

Nice video Matt - looks like you got in some great turns all around the mountain yesterday, think I even caught a glimpse of you ripping up McConkey's with your cam chest mount on...looks like lower Pinecone should be opening today at PCMR :)

What sort of POV cam do you use? It looks like you have a chest mount. So I'm guessing GoPro?

He uses a GoPro HD Hero with a chest mount, and a small Flash card based HD camcorder to record the better looking stuff.
